Les parleuses
Graphic design project with the association Les Parleuses, created by Fanny Prudhomme.

Les Parleuses is an association created by Fanny Prudhomme, a product designer who conceived a briefcase to explain the female genital system. According to the principles of low tech, this product is characterized by the notion of accessibility. The object is ‘open’: the users can make it themselves with everyday items: plastic gloves, jar seal, plastic tubes, etc. A handmade principle which is based on a functional analogy that takes into account the social and political issues of Les Parleuses.

The challenge is to put the human in the foreground and thus break with the cold medical image associated with
the usual discourse on sex education.
The communication strategy is based on censorship issues, and on what is important to Les Parleuses: the accessibility of the product. Fanny Prudhomme needs an explanatory document for the kit, and to strengthen her digital image. Playing with augmented reality makes it possible to animate the different parts of the kit while working on a printed medium. There are therefore two graphic elements in the form of leaflets, one to use Les Parleuses’ brochure, and another, more concise, to give an overview of the kit and the knowledge it shares.
